The Hunchback figure is based on the 1939 version of the film starring Charles Laughton (as Quasimodo) and Maureen O'Hara as the beautiful Esmeralda. This story was never a favorite of mine despite the recent Disney reboot and the book (which I HAD to read in high school) was unbearable. Click here for a brief description of the film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hunchback_of_Notre_Dame_(1939_film)
What makes this kit from Micro Mania interesting is that they went with the Charles Laughton hunchback instead of the Lon Chaney version. The Chaney version is available in a much larger plastic version from Polar Lights which is a version of the original 1960's Aurora kit. In any case, this kit has, like the others, only a few parts: a pair of hands and fool's cap made of pot metal and the main figure and base of resin. This kit required a bit more clean up of mold lines around the legs and head. I used a piece of N Scale Architect's vinyl block sheet I had kicking around to simulate the type of stone floor one might find in a cathedral where the bell ringers swing.
